Well now wait a second, give us some criteria. We all know you Brees Pumpers change criteria based on the argument.

If you are JUST going by STATS (which you probably are, as all Brees Pumpers do), then he is the best. No argument there.

But if you actually look at what makes a QB good and what he does for the team, Big Ben, Aaron, and Tom are all better. The 3 combined have less losing seasons than Brees, and all 3 equal or surpass him in Super Bowl wins and playoff wins. Their statlines are also pretty good and I would suspect all of them are top 5 among active QBs.

Brees plays in a pass happy offense, his defense has sucked for years and the saints are constantly engaged in shootouts. It's the perfect storm for eye popping stats.

Brady and Rodgers are easily better.

Yep, Big Ben led his team to that first super bowl. Epic performance

Give him any of those defenses

Brees has been near perfect in the playoffs.

Drew has had 14 games where he's taken the lead in the 4th quarter, only to have the Saints D blow it. I want to say the next guy on the list is Dan Marino with 7.

Since 2006 (including this year for 11 years), the defenses has averaged these rankings:

New Oreans
21st in PPG (Top 10 2 times, 11-20 3 times, 21-32 6 times)
22nd in YPG (Top 10 2 times, 11-20 1 time, 21-32 8 times)

Pittsburgh:
8th in PPG (Top 10 5 times, 11-20 6 times, 21-32 0 times)
9th in YPG (Top 10 7 times, 11-20 2 times, 21-32 2 times)

New England:
7th in PPG (Top 10 10 times, 11-20 1 time, 21-32 0 times)
16th in YPG (Top 10 3 times, 11-20 4 times, 21-32 4 times)

Green Bay (since 2008 for 9 seasons):
14th in PPG (Top 10 2 times, 11-20 5 times, 21-32 2 times)
15th in YPG (Top 10 2 times, 11-20 5 times, 21-32 2 times)

Just to show you the difference, just looking at last year:
9th YPG: 339.4 YPG
15th YPG: 346.7 YPG
16th YPG: 347.6 YPG
22nd YPG: 363.6 YPG

7th PPG: 19.6 PPG
8th PPG: 19.6 PPG
14th PPG: 21.6 PPG
21st PPG: 24.9 PPG

I like to think importance to their team.

Brady was out and the pats went 3-1

If Brees was out the saints would have no wins. Same could be said for Rodgers and maybe Big Ben.
