Average throw really. And still waiting on him to hit that consistently. If you recall, there was a pick on a similar looking play yesterday night too.
But great game, love the positivity! He's definitely doing better than we're used to.

He must've double clutched on that mentally. Threw off his back foot like Dupre's positioning surprised him. It was a good toss given that he did it with his arm only.

Please, dude. That was a dime. He put it exactly where he needed to be on a well-covered Dupre.
The later throw was underthrown, which is why it resulted in a pick. But don't pretend like this wasn't a really good throw.

I tell you what needs to stop and get fixed pronto, is this shite route running that gets two WRs in the same spot. Dillon ran his guy last night right into the bomb to Chark. And he intercepted it. This type of route running happens entirely too often in every game. No excuse for it.

As I said yesterday on the same comment basically that I was more impressed with the catch by Dupre. He went up high and got it and got both feet inside the back of the endzone NFL style with defender draped on him.

he struggles with the long-ish balls, accuracy and doesn't look like that string of on arm

Our receiver was tripped by their defender and lying on the ground, not allowing our receiver to fight for the ball and possibly breaking up the interception.

You, sir, are a fricking retard. That was a Drew Brees throw.

Thus far, I'd be willing to stay that Etling's arm strength is "adequate" and I'm happy w/ that. As far as desirable quarterback traits go, I think "arm strength" is overrated. For the QB who doesn't have "a cannon for an arm" type arm strength, he can still be a successful QB if he has a number of other traits, such as: accuracy, poise in the pocket, courage, leadership, vision, mobility etc. In addition, sometimes the QB who has a really strong arm ends up not adequately developing other areas of his trade as he chooses instead to fall back on his arm strength. Not to make this into a Harris vs Etling argument, but although Harris has appears to have a stronger arm than Etling, would anyone here rather have Harris as their QB at this time than Etling?
