I have my schedule pretty much settled and then I'll fill in the blanks over the next few months before we go.
Arriving at 5:30 a.m. on Monday morning. I don't know how the jet lag is going to affect the family (boys ages 7&9). So, I've decided to stay close at a B&B in Keflavik. Go to the Blue Lagoon, Viking museum, places around there.
Tuesday - Stay at the Radisson in Reykjavik.
Wednesday - drive the golden circle. Taking our time seeing the sights. Staying at a guesthouse in Laugarás.
Thursday - Drive to Vik. Staying at a B&B there.
Friday -drive back to the airport and flying out at 3:30 pm.
Family is really excited. My 9 year old has been watching youtube videos on learning Icelandic every night. Thanks for all of the tips and suggestions.

I old just head into Reykjavik when you get in. It's not that far from the Blue Lagoon.
