I'm a LSU fan even but not myopic.
Penn State has a better historical record but they are not light years ahead of LSU as a historical program

All of this is very fair, and accurate in my opinion. With LSU on the coaching carousel, I would be fuming if PSU fired Franklin (barring an 8+ loss season). LSU in 2016 IS the superior job.
At this point, I have to hope Franklin can start to truly turn things around to the tune of consistent 9+ win seasons, or the stars align one of these seasons and Penn State is one of the only blue chip program with an opening.
