There was a serial killers room in process of making a skin suit, a crazy butcher in the hotel kitchen, a weird maze, killer clown etc. It ended in the hotel bar on the first floor where everyone got a drink ticket with price of admission. It was a pretty cool, unique concept.
Sounds like that haunted house that those religious nuts put on.

13th gate gets a lot of hype and praise but we've got a group that's been going the last three or so years in a row and it needs some updating. Lot of the same features as the year before with not much new stuff each year. I can say it's definitely more "fun" than truly scary, far from horrifying for sure. Go with a group, have a drink before, have a good time.
