What's the screening process for getting a 911 operator job? It has to be at least somewhat selective, right? These people are dealing with people in distress and contacting emergency personnel. Based on the story and image, I'm not really seeing how Crenshanda got through the vetting process. She seems like a dead ringer to be working checkout at the Dollar General and most probably sucking at that.

In New Orleans the people taking the medically related calls are usually former EMT. They do a great job (I know I know it's New Orleans...truth though)
Houston is bigger though....no clue how she got a job regardless. At this point just have a call center in India do it...would do a better job

I'm more interested in quality control. How did it get to 1000's of hang ups before she was suspended?

quote:I don't know, but I suspect she knew somebody in the hiring process. That's the way it usually is when you see a person this unsuited for their job. I've seen that a thousand times before. The real concern is how long she got away with that bullshite. No way this kind of thing should have flown under the radar for this long without somebody looking into it. Inexcusable
