It's a really cool building to see shows in- There's usually 1 show every year that I buy tickets for. The Shape of Shreveport series has done both of their premier's there, and the place is almost electric when it's full. The municipal is equally as cool to me, and having been 'behind the scenes on haunted tours, has seen a lot of Shreveport's history. Bob Dylan is coming to Municipal in October and Gavin DeGraw is coming in November. The Municipal is in the middle of a resurgence, for 2 reasons:
1) the same company that manages the CenturyLink Center is also managing the Municipal, so they can now bring musical acts to Shreveport to a 10,000 seat venue or a 4-5,000 seat venue, and
2) a lot of musicians, like Jack White, want to come play the same stage that Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jimi Hendrix and many others played before they made it big. There's a TON of musical history in that building.

I am going to see Dylan. First wrestling I ever saw live was at the municipal auditorium. Kerry Von Erich vs. Chris Adams.
