Home surveillance system recommendations

Can anyone recommend a system with above average night vision cameras? I already have cat5 wire run to 4 locations so it needs to be an Ethernet system. I'm just looking to get something better than what bestbuy or sams is offering and there seems to be tons of companies making these systems.

Do a search...there's been several topics since earlier this year. I recommend Lorex PoE system.

If you are doing it your self just buy Hikvision off the interweb.

I got a system by EZVIZ a few months ago from Sam's. The tech for security cameras has significantly improved, with hi-def now instead of being rated in TVL (TV lines). Great image quality day and night.
One thing for you, there are baluns available that can allow you to run regular security cameras over CAT5 cable. That way, you don't have to limit yourself to the ethernet systems. I got some a few years back but realized that I didn't need them (mildly involved story). If you decide to go that route, let me know and I can part with them for a very fair price.
