No. Back in 2001 there was a week off between the season's end and the SEC Championship Game. Therefore all games that were supposed to be played the weekend of September 11 were moved to that "bye" week before the chip. Thats why auburn was in late November / early December that year

It's been said 8 times, but the situation in 2001 was completely different than this one.
LSU's Joe Alleva should have made a stronger push for Mobile. To wit, students and faculty of Emory Riddle evacuated to Auburn, and the distance from Gainesville to Mobile isn't that far (393 miles).
