UF's AD saw a cancellation as the only way to preserve his team's season. He strongarmed a weakling in the commissioner's chair into getting his way. Occam's razor people. That's what happened here.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to pouring over FCS schedules to see how we can get this game in

Occam's razor is that they cancelled the game due to safety concerns with the hurricane

Well... something illogical is out there, if Alleva spoke the truth in his press conference (and I've read the 2nd hand reporting of that here correctly).

So it seems Alleva offered...

To play the game Sat, Sunday, or Monday

At....

Gainsville, Baton Rouge or any other location they chose.

And it still didn't happen.

So if you consider in all of that is play in Gainsville on Sat, and the game isn't happening logic dictates something is/was afoot. Definitely some manipulation.

You had me with the title, then lost me with the reasoning.

Florida's administration lying about their interpretation of the hurricane information as presenting good conditions for Saturday game time, when everyone else with a pulse had the same information and knew otherwise, and then stretching the decision out all the way until a point where it was too late change venue leading to the game's cancellation, done to benefit Florida's title chances while pretending like the only cause was unpredictable weather conditions....IS THE CONSPIRACY. It's exactly what people are on the SEC Rant right now posting tin foil hat pictures to when suggested.
