I personally do not care one way or the other about this whole kneeling thing. With that said, I don't understand the need to word it like that.

I can see an owner saying that he expects or wants all staff to stand, but to demand the players stand and sing is pretty brazen and seems like an easy way to ruffle some feathers. Especially when you do not have a legal land to stand on (CBA).

Jerry Jones? I mean it has to be Jerry right?

Maybe, but you do what your boss says, or you get replaced. I'm sure there are hundreds, maybe thousands of guys who would stand at rigid attention for the chance to play in the NFL.

Exactly. The league office simply "encourages players to stand" but nobody has to stand.

Which is why this protest isn't much of a protest.

And for an owner to require reeks of a workplace violation by an employer.

The CBA takes away the ability of coaches benching players? The owner is the coaches boss and can tell him to bench the player if he doesn't stand. The coaches don't fall under the players' CBA, unless I'm mistaken.
