hey will question. So i went to get my dobe enrolled in doggy daycare and during their "introductory day" he failed. Said he was great around a group of 2 or 3 dogs but once the big pack came out, he freaked out.
He is decent with meeting new dogs as in he is very friendly but he is rude and wants to play a little too much. i know you go to the dog parks around here and what to how they are. I can hear one from my house and hear little shite dogs freaking out all the time. I'm not worried about my dog, but im worried he will want to play too much and entice another dog to fight him and my boy will open a can of whoopass.
My dog plays "rough" so to speak. She uses her paws considerably more than other dogs when playing, almost as if she is punching them. But when I see her roll on the ground in the submissive state, it's just that - playing.
I brought her to a dog park this past Friday when the weather cooled down. About 10 to 12 dogs during the middle of the day. Most of them were larger dogs, the largest being a Great Dane - and he wanted nothing to do with my dog. Most other dogs were Labs and several Pits. Only saw one small dog and he growled at mine and she ran away.
Try socializing your dog with others as much as you can. Do it repeatedly. And then try bringing him back for another interview.

quote:This is exactly how my dog is. very handsy, similar to a boxer. Like i said im really not worried about him being aggressive, just about other dogs/owners thinking he is. I mean he is a 1 year old 95# dog.

He chases around my neighbors 10# mini poodle. and when the poodle gets tired and lays down he comes and lays down next to it, pushing it to get up.
