Biggest difference tonight was trust

HC trusted his team to work smarter and not harder in practice keeping players fresh
HC trusted his OC to call his own game
OC trusted his QB to make throws and reads on time
QB trusted his receivers to make plays
DC trusted his DBs to cover in space and pressured the QB with his front
Orgeron used his lessons from Carroll and Jimmy Johnson to manage the game and let people do their jobs

And the special teams trusted BDP

Are you saying Harris didn't trust his WRs? Because I find this not true at all

Do you give motivational speeches for a living?

I wouldn't trust BDP to BBQ a turkey.

Harris didn't play any meaningful time tonight
He has nothing to do with this
But since you bring up Harris look at the difference in his targets versus etling. That wasnt all play calls, he locks in to one receiver way too much

Thats because he was handcuffed into the offense before. He's more talented than Etling

Not sure how y'all feel, but I was happy to see Harris get some snaps. I want Etling to start, but just glad to see Harris in and feel like part of the team.

The only thing Harris is better at than Etling is his deep ball/arm strength
Harris does not have the footwork, pocket presence or ability to complete the short game like Etling does.

Stick to the Cubs...you know nothing about QBs...lol

Harris has more throwing talent, less accuracy, less awareness and gets overwhelmed. Etling doesnt have the same arm talent but has poise and better accuracy. etling is a better fit for what they are trying to do and can take what the defense gives him so the OC doesnt have to try to micromanage him
What good is a pitcher that throws 99 but can't throw strikes and crumbles under pressure?

I know who the more talented QB is and Etling didn't show me anything tonight other than being a game manager.
Posted on 10/2/16 at 12:39 am to tzimme4
Which is all they need
A talented team can go far with a competent game manager at QB

Well I, and everyone but you, know that Etling gives us the best chance to win. Etling is a game manager, so what? A lot of game managers win championships. It's more about getting the ball into your playmakers hands, and not making a mistake that costs your team. I have no doubt that Etling is the right guy, even with the "new" offense.

Trent Dilfer has a Super Bowl ring

I mean this was debunked two weeks ago, but whatever, it isn't the point of the thread.

We're a week removed from Etling costing the team a victory.
Are we really about to go down this road again?

Harris cant even complete a short pass to an open receiver. He has no touch.

Matt Flynn was a game manager. Etling has the arm to make the deep throws. He actually overthrew Chark twice on sure td's.

Ok completions versus targets
When has Harris completed balls to nine different receivers?
Harris did what they told him to do which didn't work. The old staff is gone. Time to move on. Harris will be called on again and hopefully he will rise to the challenge
