re: How do poor people go to the dentist?

I know a guy that was in excruciating pain. He didn't have dental insurance. Went to the dentist on S. Harrels Ferry and they pulled the tooth for something like $150. He has no tooth, but no pain.

I think his other option was a root canal.

Recommend he clean his mouth with Listerine and Hydrogen peroxide constantly and try to get him some amoxicillin if he's not up for getting the tooth pulled. Most dental pain is due to infection...it may buy him some relief while he scrapes up the necessary funds.
