Didnt Chizik get a rough welcome at Auburn for his prior coaching record? He took em to 14-0 and a NC

36-44 with one Playoff appearance. CEO was 3-21 and never sniffed any postseason play.
if not for that 6-2 magical run with USC he would be 10-25 as HC.
If USC saw something in him that was HC material they would have kept him.
