Diarse only caught 3 passes his first two games with the Frogs but has had 13 in the last two and become a favored target of the TCU Qb, Hill.

For perspective, he caught 28 passes in two years with the Tigers.

i was a big fan of diarse at LSU. He runs like a RB after catching the ball. He doesn't mind running people over

I went to the Arkansas and Iowa state games there. He was a beast. Wish we could've used him more.

Miles scared off three very good veteran receivers in the offseason. We should have known by the time Tyron Johnson checked out that nothing at all had changed in the offense. Everyone knew after Wisconsin.

I think he'll prove to be the biggest loss.

Just another exceptional talent that played on a limited basis under the Miles era. TCU is discovering what a talent he is right now and Diarse will play in the NFL. Reminds me of the Denver WR, big physical specimen that will run you over or through tackles, and great blocker to like most LSU receivers. All those guys that left under the Miles era will wish they had stuck it out because the ball will start flying now with the new staff.

Johnson, Quinn, and Spears I think will do good with their other teams though. LSU players are great athletes.

That WR attrition was bound to happen regardless of coach or system when you bring in 6 four and five star WRs in every class

What's amazing is that they came to LSU in the first place. I've been an LSU fan since I was a small boy (I'm 66 now) and, if I had a grandson who was an 4 or 5 * WR recruit I would not have wanted him to go to LSU under Miles.

Diarse was smart to leave and Tyron was too given the circumstances.

I curse Alexander for putting the kibosh on canning Les last year. It's a damn shame Les turned down Michigan. The Wolverines dodged a bullet.

I'll say it again, would anyone really play him over Dural, Dupre, or Chark?

No, no you wouldn't.

Yeah, but the "sunshine pumpers" on this board told us we didn't need them and we were set at WR and all of that garbage. And, our WRs have played horribly.

This board is constantly wrong.

The reason they came to LSU is because they were taught how to be NFL receivers. They don't just run routes in the NFL. Just because you catch a 1000 passes in college doesn't mean you will be a good NFL receiver.

This.

But the Miles haters never miss an opportunity to find some kind of way to slam him.

I know our passing game left a lot to be desired, but some of our recent vintage WRs have had at least 1 standout year in their college careers. be it ODB, Jarvis, Randle, or Lafell. if you're a stud WR prospect and think you're gonna be the #1 guy at LSU, you can expect to get a decent amount of opportunities to get the ball (not spread offense catches but a god number of targets), and probably go to the NFL.

Another poster that has no clue what he's talking about.

They came here to be in a pro style offense. But of course, your hate for Miles has made you blind to the truth.

I guess they are happy to have Diarse. He had a nice bowl game against Texas T. Yet another screw up on Miles

How great are Dural, Dupre or Chark's numbers? Most of the time we are only putting two receivers split out and it was frequently only one receiver formations in the past.
Up until the last two games who would know whether Chark warranted time over Diarse.
What is evident is that, in a more sophisticated offense, Diarse is putting up good numbers and he is not the leading receiver on the team because, oh yeah, the spread the ball around.

Bowe was a Saban Recruit. He played for two years under each of them.
Rueben Randle was released after a short NFL career.
You think Beckham wouldn't have been a star somewhere else?
