I bought a used watch from watchuseek forums. Did my research on the seller and used PayPal with buyer protection. I've also bought and sold bike equipment upwards of 1k on classified forums. Just pay the 2-3% PayPal fee for protection and file a claim if they send you something not as advertised. Never pay with a money order or PayPal "gift". I put an ad with a picture of exactly what I wanted. After two obvious scammed attempted to sell me something, I found a great deal from a legit seller and had my watch soon after.
