My brother just bought a 2008 F150 crew cab with 215k miles. It honestly runs like new. But the problem with the truck, and with vehicles in general these days, is that the interiors tend to wear out faster than the mechanicals.

To me, the question is how much interior wear can you tolerate.

Find a good upholstery shop or grab some seats from a junk yard. My truck is starting to show wear on the driver seat at 125k but it runs too good to get rid of so I'm looking for a wrecked one to get the seats.

I've got a 2009 with 83k miles on it....I get calls from the dealership every month wanting to buy it back. Tempting to work a deal but I'm not real crazy about the new body styles at this point, so I'm planning to keep it a few more years. Like you said, I'm a little worried the interior may not hold up, but other than that so far so good.
