Sounds like a place that launders cash.

Don't blame me. Other posters asked....I answered

Places that don't take cards by now are the devil and need to be shut down

Man yelled at me for not having smaller bills in a parking garage the other day because I handed him a $20. I went to the ATM just to be able to pay for parking, and he ended up making me use my credit card.

With any small business having the ability to buy a device to attach to an iPad or phone to swipe cards.....there really is no excuse to not take cards now.
I took my aunts to the Grand Canyon. We stopped at a rest stop along the way where a bunch of Navajo women were set up selling turquoise jewelry. Even they had the ability to take cards.

Unless the items they sell are low cost + minimal profit margins and CC companies eat it up with fees.
Take Hallmark Greetings cards for example. How many of their CC transactions each day average $1.95.

It's more than likely that they can, but won't due to risk of taking a counterfeit hundred.

You haven't bought a hallmark card lately.
$1.95 only gets ya the thin cheap looking cards.
The nicer cards are like $5-7 now.
ETA: nothing wrong with a business having limits saying you must spend a certain amount to be able to pay with a card imo

It's very clear you have not the slightest fricking clue how credit card processing works or how expensive it is.

There is a reason why every established business uses actual credit card machines and POS systems not a stupid square plugged into an iphone.

I do understand actually. That's why I said nothing wrong with a small business having limits as to how much you must spend before you can pay with a card.

I don't get the using $100. These places aren't banks.
Until recently, you had to actually go in and request $100, ATMs only spit out $20. I never understood this.
