and sorry to bust your bubble but USC is a legendary program.

Yeah, see, it's really not viewed that way anymore by anyone under the age of 40. They are living off old commodities just like Notre shite

Notre Dame and USC have had very different success the last 16 years. As someone under 40...I know what USC can be when things are done right.

USC has the same problem as Texas has now IMO. They have too many boosters with too much say that get in the way of actually producing on the field. If he goes to LSU he won't have near the amount of handcuffs as he would at USC.
Also, doesn't LSU have much more revenue compared to USCw? I don't see how they can outbid LSU if LSU is prepared to shell out the money it takes.
I think Alleva is no where near as bad as the ridiculousness up there. I mean, they didn't hire their most successful coach in Bebe to hire the train wrecks they have now.
I would still rank LSU ahead of the pack; however, it's close enough to at least say we are competing with them.
Overall, I'm not that worried because of the SUPREME incompetence of USC at hiring a coach, but it's still an opponent for the hire.
Of course, Herman may think differently, so we won't know until next year
