Yes, I strongly believe this. The only question is whether or not 1/9/12 would've still happened with Lee and JJ, and ultimately miles would've still been broken.

Never will understand why Lee didn't come off the bench on 1-9-12. Bama was in the zone that night and not sure it would've mattered who was under center for LSU but no possible way could Lee have been worse than JJ.

On the subject of Lee, does he get so much sympathy simply because he was left out of the 1/9/12 game? The guy was terrible. You saw what he did in the 9-6 game. If not for JJ, we wouldn't have scored at all. He threw almost every pass moving backward because he was afraid to get hit. He's the only QB I've ever seen throw like that.
