I still think Saban beats Miles all those years no matter what. Saban adapted his scheme to fit modern day college football and Les did not. That is the reason Les is unemployed today.

Miles would've been even more stubborn knowing his way won in 2007 and 2011

I think LSU wins in 2012 and after that who knows how history is written with Les 4-2 against Saban. LSU and the crowd opened the 2012 game very tight. It took until the 3rd to warm up but by that time LSU wasn't able to put enough points on the board to counter Alabama. National Champion LSU is much looser early on.

True, but losing that 2011 NC is what got the ball rolling.

If LSU had 2 NC's in the past 10 years, the leash is much longer. Fans would still be upset with the offense, but no way Les is fired right now.

Maybe but without the stain of 1/9 and with two championships under his belt, would Miles have been firable without a losing season?

No. NOBODY beats Saban when he has an extra bye week to prepare for them. Saban is an expert with that extra week to prepare and will continue to beat LSU as long as Bama's bye week is scheduled before the Bama-LSU game.
