It's certainly understandable if you choose not to believe me; with all of the current rumors circulating it's hard to determine who's telling the truth and who's not. I'll just say that I know Jr and his family very well, I live in Magnolia and grew up playing ball with his brothers Joe and Jared, and I also know his mom and sister and knew his pops as well. I doubt that he will decommit until he sees who the new coach is, and sees where he'd potentially fit in. In the meantime he will keep his options open. I know that UNC is very high on him and are trying to get him on an OV. Memphis is a smaller school but he would fit in well in that system. Obviously if LSU lands someone like Herman or Briles I think he'll likely stay since he fits that style of offense better than Myles does. The key to him choosing to switch to LSU really didn't have much to do at all with being close to his family. I mean it played a minor role, but the main reason he chose LSU was due to his relationship with Cam. After suffering his initial ACL tear, Cam (who happened to be in attendance at the spring game) was at the hospital with him, not Auburn. When he hurt himself in the state championship game, Cam went with him to the hospital in Thibodaux, not Auburn. When his father died, Cam and his wife came to the funeral, not Auburn. I was there for some conversations where Can told him he was their #1 guy, even after Brennan committed. After the Wisconsin loss apparently Cam told him that he might want to start looking into other options, just in case. So yes, this was a case where he committed to a coach, not a school. I don't know where Cam will end up, but if he gets an OC job someplace it wouldn't surprise me to see him continue to recruit Jr. However at this point he has his family (including 2 ex-NFL players) and coaches guiding him and providing advice. For what it's worth, he's also been told by multiple people that it's not likely Tom Herman will come to LSU because he's holding out for the Texas job, which many people think will be available this season as well.

This is a reasonable course of action and one that any recruit should take when their future head coach and position coach are fired. It seems that Lowell would prefer to go to LSU if all things are equal due to distance/SEC factor, so if we make a good offensive hire, I like our chances.

Someone needs to explain to him how poker is played. Of course his relationship with Cam was important, and even if he was looking at other options, should have kept it to himself. With 2 knee surgeries, you can't be saying that. Do it quietly. Play your cards close to the vest.

Basically he is baling on the school - or at least that's how it comes across. So in turn the school (new coach) may just say OK bye.

Unless you're holding 4 aces, it's probably a good idea to lay low. (Auburn is far from that hand)

If this is true, then Cameron is a POS.
