UTenn after Fulmer,
Suffered from decline in recruiting similar to Nebraska. Do you think Tenn would be better with fuller still there?

UF after Spurrier
Spurrier left to go to the NFL. They did just fine when they got a good coach.

UTex after Brown, UM after Carr
Many of the problems at these schools were due to having coaches stay too long and run the program into the ground. It is taking a while for strong and harbaugh to right the ship.

Bama was very spotty for a long long time before Saban. USC struggling to find another Pete Carrol.
Both of these situations are the direct result of sanctions. Bama seems to have recovered well. USC just got back to a full scholarship level. Give them a few years.

FSU is the only one that comes to mind that has been successful so far.
They, like LSU, have always had great recruiting and talent. You just need a good coach to unlock the potential.

You have to be able to recruit and coach to win in CFB. Teams that are good have one or the other. Great teams have both.
From the schools you mentioned, UF, Tx, UM, ND, Bama, USC, and FSU can get the talent through branding. And when they get good coaching, they go to and/or win championships. LSU should fit with the group. They are just missing the players or the coaching. I'll let you decide which one it is.

I agree with all of this......my only argument is do I trust those in charge at LSU to find another great coach or send us into years of mediocrity with a bad hire. It could easily go either way.
