Miles Is More Reactive Than Proactive

Miles has shown he is capable of making change....albeit slow and methodical.
The problem is that it is always too late.....the damage (losses) has already been done.
Can anyone give examples of changes made before it cost us big?
I mean replacing JL with JJ in the GOTC comes to mind but other than that.....
I think a lot of fans would cut Miles more slack if he would nip schit in the bud quicker rather remaining stubborn and convinced he's absolutely correct.
Bringing in DE was a big step in the right direction that paid off but the Wisky game was already in the rear view mirror.

There is no way to know this. The proactive changes we don't really see, so all we've got are the reactive ones.

As far as personnel changes, not really.
As far as in game "changes"...
Not really a good example but the way he played Florida in 2007 (I think) with Hester and all the 4th down attempts was one of the most memorable times he actively tried to maintain or create momentum. The rest of the time he's either trying to recover it (reactive) or hasn't lost it.
He obviously tried a 4th down against Wisconsin (that probably should've worked) and the fake field goal against Florida last year. That were pretty proactive.
Snatching up O, whatever happened with Steele and then getting Aranda, and then halfway getting rid of Malveto for Chavis were proactive coaching changes that were definitely good calls and probably prevented some gnashing of teeth.
I also thought it was laughable how "reactive" he seemed to be with the 2 (maybe more - wasn't completely lucid) trick plays against State. Although one nearly worked, the whole thing reeked of "The rant says they want variety, I assume this is what they mean."

How would anyone be able to name anything? If it didn't cost us big, then we wouldn't know if it would have cost us big

Les would never start a freshmen qb, Jalen Hurts, Shane Bueshale, Jason Eason, eta, eta, eta.

Hiring Chavis
Getting Mettenberger from Kansas against everyone.
Hiring Arranda
Revamping OL in 2012
Going with Jeremy Hill in 2013.
Switching to Etling this year.Off top of my head Im sure theres a plethora of other moves.
Other than staying with DJ Welter im not sure when he didnt adjust in time.

Etling was hurt and Harris looked ok at times. Np with him sticking with him. No way he knows Harris throws game away literally. He wasted no time vs jsu

Some of these moves were made after things went caca.

I 1000% disagree with this.
Miles makes a plan and sticks to it, no matter how idiotic it is. He's the furthest thing from being reactive

I disagree. But to each their own. Clearly in my mind hes more proactive than most of his SEC colleagues.

He's started true freshmen at QB before, just not at the beginning of the season.
I'm not sure why anyone would want this anyway.
