Lafayette inmate escapes jail, poses with car, then steals it and still loose

Broke out last night, stole car today.
UPDATE: Lafayette Parish Sheriff's deputies have verified that the man who allegedly stole a car from a car dealership this morning is the missing inmate who walked away from a transitional housing unit Wednesday night.

The inmate who walked away from a transitional housing unit Wednesday night allegedly stole a vehicle from a used car lot on Ambassador Caffery Parkway.
Posh Pre-Owned reports that Shane Paul Thomas stole a 2015 white convertible Mustang Thursday morning.
Thomas allegedly tried to trade in another vehicle, then drove away in the Mustang.
The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office confirms that they are looking into the report.
