I certainly don't get hot and bothered. Its kind of sad, but I don't give them shite, so what do I really care.
A part of it is also impressive to me. You have to have serious business acumen to do something like that.

Because it's a perversion of the Christian religion.
Christianity is not supposed to be a business. Yes, pastors and other staff who run the day-to-day operations of the church need to be compensated so they can live. But keeping outrageous sums of money for yourself rather than using it for the betterment of the community is so far from what Jesus taught that it's not even funny.
The seeking of earthly possessions is the antithesis of Christian belief. Even if Osteen (and other preachers) are making their money from books, dvds, etc. they are still setting an example that personal financial success is the goal of life.

Well a church is supposed to be a non profit, right....
Just curious what are thoughts on charities like Wounded Warriors, etc... that get berated in the media and on here about where their donated money goes
