City has always had a loyal but small base. The stadium is just to big for the club. Their issue is they are playing catch up big time trying to get fans in a country where people already have generations of following a team. They get tourist and fans from London now like everyone else but the base will never be big enough. Manchester is and will always be red.

tough pill to swallow, but i think this is a fair assessment of the situation, except i don't know if i can say that the base will never be big enough.
