The thing I like about the 2nd and 7 play is watching him go through the progressions.

And regardless of drops or no drops, the passes were much more on target than we are used to seeing.

The checkdown was perfectly thrown. As others have pointed out millions of times over the years, that throw is not as easy as it looks. We have seen it done poorly so many times, even when completed if the back can't catch it in stride.

Etling was more on target against JSU than Harris was. Harris simply didn't have it and needed to come out.

However, on what amounted to 19 drop backs (15 actual throws), Etling had 6 bad passes. Depending on how you view the 1st half INT with no time remaining, Harris had 6 or 7 bad passes out of 26 dropbacks (22 actual throws) against Wisconsin. The idea that Etling was more accurate than Harris in the game is a myth.

The difference between Etling and Harris, up to this point, is that A) Etling simply looks better doing it from a fundamental standpoint and B) Etling strung together a nice quarter - 6/8 is better than we've seen from Harris in any stretch this year.
