I agree but do really think 10-2 gets him fired after what we saw last year? I'm not sure it will.
10-2 at this point means 7-1 in the SEC, which could very well put LSU in Atlanta.
Win the SEC at 11-2 overall, and you think they'd keep the SEC champs out of the payoffs?

Yes.
If the big 10, acc, pac 12 and big 12 all have a 1 loss or less champ they most certainly will leave the sec champ out. After week 2 they are already starting the talk that the sec isnt head and shoulders above the other conferences.

Yep. You had the east favorite almost lose to App state.
A playoff contender out of the west lose to Wisky.
The rest of the country is itching to leave us out of the playoff.
No way does a 2 loss sec champ get in over a 1 loss conf champ of another p5 conf

I think you'd have to be at least one year removed from an SEC team holding the trophy to not invite the champ - especially with only one conference loss. 9 of the last 13 champions have been SEC teams, I think reports of the SEC's demise have been greatly exaggerated. This isn't 2001 we're talking about here.
Besides, LSU has won it all before with 2 losses, it'd be a shame if they were denied another shot at it.

I think it's very possible.

1 team doesnt make a conf. And last year should carry zero weight in the voters mind.
If a 2 loss sec champ gets in over a 1 loss p5 conf champ the this playoff is bullshite. If wins and losses dont matter then why are we playing the season? Just put the 4 teams with the most nfl talent in the playoff.
At what point does resume matter more than biased eyetest.

Yeah because the voters always let a sec team in and there were only 2 spots.

I'd think things would have to play out very differently than they have. Let's say that loss is to Auburn and their only other loss would be to Bama, and LSU looks good beats Bama and Etling really playing well then maybe. I just don't see it happening though. But 10-2 and a SEC championship Miles isn't going anywhere.

Yeah but everyone else also had 2 losses.
I wouldnt be mad one bit if a 1 loss p5 conf champ got in over a 2 loss sec champ.
The sec isnt nearly as good as it has been 4 or 5 years ago.

From your keyboard to God's ears. It would be absolutely great if that turned out to be the bottom.

I put the odds of that at < 50%.
...of course, I also put the odds of LSU going 7-1 in the SEC <50%, so there's that.

Hell, LSU could lose to Bama, and Bama could lose to Tennessee and Auburn.
I'm just saying that going 10-2 in the regular season at this point would be a pretty damned good season, and could quite possibly lead to the playoffs.
I'm NOT saying that it would be a sure thing.

All this means that the nearly 8 year QB draught (aside from Zach Mett) are behind us.

Not BCS/P5 Kansas, they were at 11-1 before the bowls.

He did what every good coach does wheb the game is won against an inferior team. He ran the ball and ran deep routes. There is zero reasons for us to put tendencies and aggressive plays on tape for sec dc. Throwing the ball against JSU does nothing for our qb.
Not when the team has not figured out a base offense yet. One cares about keeping things hidden when there is something to hide. Besides, Miles has always been a stop us if you can even though you know what is coming kind of guy.

I feel like I have heard this "Next year will be our year" battle cry for the last 5-8 years. At some point we all should realize what is holding LSU back with all the talent we bring in every year.

Ok. If lsu had been left out then we would have no argument.
At some point if voters keep using i test then the regular season will lose importance.

We didnt bring back talent in 2014.
All of our starting skill position players combined for a total of 2 starts. We started the 2nd youngest roster in a major conf.
In 2015 we were a defense away from a 11 win season.

We know what our base offense is. Also you dont figure out a base offense against JSU.

Really? So our tendencies in 3rd and long isnt valuable? Our tendencies are the 2nd most valuable thing to an offense behind execution.

Not on 3rd down.
And if you really believe that then this sentence by you

A good coach goes basic as hell once the game is won against an inferior team.
If we were playing a quality team then yeah get Etling reps, but ita clear as day miles wanted to and did shut down the offense once the game was won. The success of an offense against JSU is meaningless so there is no reason to go aggressive.
I still agree with replacing Miles but i wont shite on him for doing the smart thing against an inferior opponent.
