There are nine, and will be 10 books soon, in the series. His character development is off the charts. By far. Once you read those, you'll also want to read his Lycan Fallout and Indian Hill series.
I love the Zombie Fallout series. By far the best I zombie books I have ever read. His character, Mike Talbot, is very identifiable and seems like he could be someone we all know. The writing is above and beyond - not the errors/mistakes you'll find in many others. He also did a couple collaboration books with John O'Brien called A Shrouded World, which takes two completely different takes on zombies and throws them together in one world - with Tufo's Mike Talbot character and also O'Brien's star.
One thing that I like about the books is that Tufo uses his character, Talbot, in the Lycan and Indian Hill books, too. Well, almost all of his characters. Sort of like an alternate world where things exist but differently. Amazing.
Quick reads? Can be. They will definitely get and keep your attention.
