My aunt and uncle went through one when the kids were about 15. It was about as amicable as I could imagine. Each remarried to two people who are soooo much better for them, and each seem to be much happier. All of the kids are pretty well-grounded, and at their weddings each ex hungout with the other and their spouse and it was fine.
I'm sure there was some messy behind the scenes stuff that I didn't see, but overall they had as good a divorce as I could ever imagine.

I don't think I'd have the heart to start from scratch on another relationship, tbh.
Got very lucky the girl I married wasn't keen on divorce, so we committed to the long haul early on.
