Don't disagree with any of this. Firing Miles mid-season has no positive impact on the program. None. However, it is full of potential negatives. Additionally, it is my understanding that Miles' buyout drops significantly if he is fired w/out cause AFTER December 31 (There is no chance he willingly retires).

If he refuses to retire, that's his choice. Then terminate.
