The original question of the thread, did you notice the enthusiasm of the entire team. That probably had some influence on the route running and blocking.

Because he thinks of the players as more than just players. He is a players coach and wants them to succeed and when they don't it's painful.
Miles has a lot of faults, viewing the players on the team as more than just players is not one of them.
