Herman, Jeff Brohm, Todd Monken, Troy Calhoun, Bobby Petrino.

Man this is a new badass thread. Zero chance in hell they go get Petrino.

What about Sarkisian ?
I know he is about to be an Alabama Assnt but offer a multi million salary and he'll come.
He's an offensive coach so he can keep the present defensive staff in place and bring in his guys for offense.

He's done what exactly as a head coach to warrant millions?

Monken is a Miles guy.
He coached WRs and was the 'passing game coordinator' during 2005-2006

For all Miles' flaws, I'm still glad LSU didn't hire that piece of garbage Petrino in 05. Still dont want him today. Louiville is so desperate to be relevant they will hold their nose and deal with his baggage (and the knowledge that he could either screw up or screw them over yet again), but there is ABSOLUTELY no reason we should have to. A guy like that doesnt change after 10 years of being a classless jackass.
Oh, and by the way, what the hell has he actually acomplished, other than running up scores on bad teams and having good taste in side pieces?

He came to LSU with Miles from Okie St. Miles tried to promote him to OC when Fisher left, but Miles was told to find someone outside the staff.

Herman will be his replacement. That's just IMO.

Let's look at real life coaching hires in the SEC so that we can get an idea of what caliber of coach is "realistic".
Georgia - Kirby Smart
Missouri - Barry Odom
South Carolina - Will Muschamp
Auburn - gus malzahn
Florida - Jim McElwain
Other programs of note:
USC - Clay Helton
Virginia Tech - Justin Fuente
Miami (Fla.) - Mark Richt
But yeah, LSU is gonna get Fisher, or Herman, or settle for Belichick. Sure.

Herman is at least realisticaly attainable if the UT and A&M jobs don't come open, and if we are the prime opening.
Fisher and others- Not so much.

Dan Mullen will be the next head coach at LSU.

A coach with a known drinking problem in South Louisiana. That would be the stuff that Hollywood movies like "Dumb and Dumber" would be made from. It might be a skull frick of a football program, but it sure would be entertaining.

WHAT ABOUT DAVID SHAW AT STANFORD?
Posted on 9/8/16 at 8:18 pm to bmy
If Les gets fired(and I wouldn't be surprised if he turns this thing around. He's Houdini, a guy who always gets himself off the hot seat). I think his replacement comes from this group of coaches: Tom Herman, Gary Patterson, Rich Rod, Todd Monken, Jimbo Fisher and Larry Fedora.
