actually picked up the book and about 75% through it at the moment.

its not the most complete research that i have seen out of a crime story, but id imagine that anyone even vaguely familiar with the area would find it really interesting. im hoping the last quarter of it is a little tighter though.

I have some family down that way. I considered picking it up, but seems like the guy put out an article a while back. The sheriff (who as I understand it isn't the one who was in office during the time of the slayings) put out a statement almost mocking the article which referenced documents the sheriff claimed didn't even exist.

For that reason,i find it difficult to send money to the guy for what is probably a case of sensationalism with little substance.

I didn't know a book existed. I had read a lot about it back then on a local Topix board dedicated to it. The person who owned the board was threatened and it closed own finally.

Frankie used to visit that board occasionally.

The task force had LSP and FBI on it, as well as the locals. I could never understand how They were so inept, considering that they had no local ties. The woman that was informing the criminals of the task forces every move should have never been on it, considering her connections with the criminals.
