Independent of the game and division rival vs once every 4 years AFC team. Which has more to do, taste and see for 40 year old guys not looking for hookers and blow?

Best road trip this year IMO would be Chargers

I don't have the time to go that far.

I would go Carolina and stay in Asheville on the way up there one night. Should be a nice fall drive through Appalachia.

Isn't that a bit late in November for Fall foliage?

KC. Raleigh lacks everything you want in a city

The Saints won't get beat as bad in KC as they will vs Carolina.

Don't care about that. Want more to see and do.

As someone that's been to both (KC '08 and CAR '13 and '15) I would recommend going to Kansas City.
Power and Lights District is a blast for all ages 21+. Last time I went there was a Beatles cover band playing, I was probably the youngest in the crowd.
You can catch a college game the day before the game as well. I saw a Kansas Jayhawks game while they were still relevant. They are home that weekend against Oklahoma St. Other games in the area are Kansas St is playing Texas, Missouri is playing Middle Tennessee, and Nebraska is playing Purdue.

Been to both multiple times. Charlotte is a cool, clean city. It's newer and shinier. Stadium isn't bad and it's right in the heart of downtown.
For a pure sports experience, the answer here is KC and it's not even close. Arrowhead is easily one of the coolest sports venues in America. The fans are great, the BBQ lives up to its rep, and the atmosphere is awesome.
As for nightlife--Charlotte's more of a velvet ropes and bottle service type of town, whereas KC is more of a get some drinks and hear some great live music type of town.

Never been to either one, so this post is basically pointless , but I've heard good things about KC.

I would go to KC just to be able to watch a game in Arrowhead plus KC is pretty good so the crowd should be loud

If you want some of the best BBQ you've ever eaten you will go to KC and go check out Joe's. They have 3 locations and it's phenomenal. Arrowhead is a really cool stadium too.

and then hit up Jack Stack for some of the best beans you'll eat!

The leaves usually change around third week of October. Mid November should still be same autum views.
