This thread is funny... Miles isn't going anywhere during this season. Unless of course we lose the next 5 games. A 8-4 type year and he is fine though....

Go take a look at our record in the SEC 5-3 4-4 5-3 6-2
Ill put money on this yr being no better then the last 4 yrs.
That is with one of the best rosters and 18 returning starters.
Miles is paid like a top coach in the country, but the record says he is not.

To defend Miles at all cost is to wish harm on the program.
The game has passed him by.
Just because he has had past success it does not give him the right to be LSU's Permanent Head Football Coach.
You aren't an LSU fan, you are a Miles fan.

You do realize that coaches on the top 25 list of all time were either fired or resigned when the game passed them by.
As great as an ambassador Miles is for LSU and the state of Louisiana his job is to WIN football games.
You compare him to a RHodes scholar and he failed the single biggest test of his life. A test that would have cemented his legacy as one the great coaches with one of the greatest teams in college football history. On that test he couldn't even manage to get his team across midfield.
Since that time it appears he has lost his "want" to study. Because he started failing a lot more tests and has failed 4 of his last 5 regular season tests.
I have a son who lost his "want" to study in college so he is waiting tables now. We gave him all the resources and the opportunities not afforded by many kids and he didn't take advantage of the chance.
Miles is no different. he started out great but has slowly quit taking notes in class and is starting to fail way to often.

I think Miles' time is done, but I hate when people blurt this dumb shite out. You, yourself, has zero impact on that coaches salary. And, that salary is largely paid by donors, so don't act like that makes a hill of shite to you. If he was only making $2MM, would this situation be any more acceptable?
