Glock is a far more dependable gun than the 2 choices you stated that's all I'm saying.
This is not true. The Shield is a very well made and proven gun.

This is true. Ask any gun dealer to name a more dependable handgun than a Glock.

Purse is a bad choice for concealed carry for 2 huge reasons
If that is what one is comfortable with and may yield a manner of defense in even a small number of situations is a decidion that has already been made.
Certainly being in a position to defend yourself in some situations is better than none. The gun nuts constantly telling people that unless you are locked and loaded and at the hand is the only way may actually discourage a potential owner from owning.
The people that constantly point this out are under the impression that the potential owner hasn't already considered these things, and is kind of insulting

Just pointing out the obvious. Who ever has the purse has the gun. Purses are a target. It's better than nothing but it's a poor choice with so many holster options out there. We're talking about a LCP here. I have a LCP custom and carry it a lot in my pocket.

This is a very valid point.
Purse snatchings are extremely violent and rarely would there be an opportunity for the woman to grab her gun while she is being drug to the ground by her purse.
There have also been documented stories of unattended children in a shopping cart accidentally killing themselves or their mothers with a gun concealed in a purse.
I'm not saying purse carry is absolutely terrible but on-body carry is superior.

The safety aspect is the biggest issue IMO
If a person is snatching your purse in a very violent manner and dragging you to the ground, I am not certain many women will get to a holster either. Until he is gone, then you aren't shooting him anyway

My wife can never find ANYTHING in her purse. If she had to find a gun to defend herself that was in her purse... She gone.

This is another chance to give clicks to Falia:
Concealed Carry for women

The OB comes through again for me. Thanks for all the positive feedback. I will definitely take the purse thing serious. I agree with all points on that. I've had my M&P for two weeks and love it. I can see myself getting into this hand gun thing.
