a 40-50 year old at Best Buy or Cox who doesn't know what WiFi is
Yesterday morning, I'd have thought this person above was a unicorn. What 40 y/o Gen X-er doesn't know what Wifi is?
Then yesterday, I (late Gen X) saw a guy talking on his phone using his horseshoe / cow-lead ring / necklace headphone thingy. I've seen people wearing these ugly arse things around for a while, but always figured they were headphones to listen to music from your phone, that you put them on like headphones. I found it hard to imagine caring about music that much that you needed to listen to it at a moment's notice all the time. I had no idea they were to talk and hear calls thru also, or that they had an earpiece.
I turned and blurted this comment out to the Baby Boomer gentleman behind me in line. He kind of smiled this pitying, bemused smile at me. Then again, it's entirely possible he couldn't hear me & had no idea what I was talking about.
