Green Chef Question

My roommate just got his first delivery to SETX today from Green Chef. It's been sitting out on the front porch for at least a couple of hours. He opens it up and the ice packs are not cold. I shoot the skin temp of the fish and chicken with a laser thermometer and they're at 75 °F. They're vacuum sealed but I assume this is still no bueno. He's not worried, but I'm skeptical. Is he gonna die?

There won't be any convincing him otherwise. I sometimes think he'd eat out of the compost bin if it didn't have a lid on it.

Feed it to homeless people

40-140 is the temperature range at which microorganisms rapidly multiply. I would assume these meats weren't sanitized prior to vacuum seal, so you would still have several hours of rapid bacterial growth. If I were still in college, I'd prob cook with them anywa, but if you want to keep things superfresh, toss em

Ive never had a problem with GreenChef. The food has been good, but thw portions sometimes seem small. Of course it's not travelling as far for me as it is for you.

It looks like the cheese is melted in the package. I'd say that further supports the theory that he's about to get food poisoning

You don't get food poisoning from melted cheese.

Give it the smell test.

fish and chicken
I wouldn't give either of these the benefit of the doubt.

Okay, I suppose I'll spell this out for you. The cheese is melted. Must have gotten hot (> 75 F). Raw chicken stored with cheese. Hot raw chicken bad.
