they did combine to actually be a top 15ish QB. So yes, it can get worse
They collectively would have been 18th in standard formats behind Tannehill. So yeah technically it could get worse, but it was still not very good. You knew what I meant. If you watched any games with Hoyer or Mallet you saw just how bad it really was. Also i think a lot of the QB success you can directly attribute to Hopkins. The Texans QB collection isn't even sniffing Top-25 without him.

sure but that will come at the cost of the large market share in targets he monopolized last season.
Ehh I don't think you'll see them stray away from DeAndre that drastically if at all. He's still going to get his. Plus a more efficient offense means more sustained drives, which equals more catch opportunities and scoring opportunities. The Texans were 2nd to last in yards per play, and almost bottom 10 in points per game. A better/ more efficient offense is going to help Nuk IMO, not hurt him because of volume or a decrease in market share.

I did watch many of their games as a Hopkins owner in pretty much all my leagues....Yes the QBs were dog shite but they had eyes for hopkins only, his target share was ridiculous.

sure but the guy replacing him couldn't manage to look worth a shite with arguably a much better group of WRs.
I'm not even arguing Nuk the player, I love him. But with an expected regression of targets (argue all you want, that number was an outlier that very few have received, much less in back to back seasons) he is not far and away the #4 WR he's flying off the board at currently. Still since it isn't any more costly to keep him over A-Rob, you keep hopkins.
eta:I looked it up, 192 targets was good for 5th most of all time.
