food stamps

Make sure they have applied for emergency food stamps.

Also...everyone that has been affected needs to be taking multivitamins or something to boost their vitamin C intake. The stress of all this is gonna wreck havoc on your immune system and make you easily susceptible to getting sick. Also...if you are so stressed out...you likely are not eating well either and need to get your nutrients another way.

I mean this with all sincerity - can you imagine how screwed they would be without whatever aid they're able to get from FEMA? They'll get housing aid, possibly a grant for personal items or a low-interest loan for personal items and whatever else needs to be done to their home, and maybe more help down the road. It still may not be enough, but at least it is something.

Edited to reflect your edit.
