My uncle works for a government agency, I wont say which one- but he does not make a lot of money. Id say around 12 dollars an hour. Very hard working man, but nothing more than a high school education. His wife works at home keeping kids. They own a small trailer in Central. Lost everything they had worked 40+ years for. Didn't have flood insurance, because they couldn't afford it. The man has excellent credit, never missed a car note, or house note. But still needs FEMA. So, don't tell me that needing assistance in a disaster is avoidable.

I'm sure there are tons of stories very similar to this one. These are the people I feel for. They TRY to do the right thing... work hard, pay their bills, pay taxes and they're the ones that get fricked over while the leeches keep on leeching.

Thank you. He is a very good man. He drives a dependable but not fancy truck, worked hard to pay for a modest place to live, lived within his means his whole life- and its all gone now.
