I'm sure he'd turn down the guy 20ft away and wait for the coast guard to show up when his boat is on fire and sinking 50 miles offshore. Perfect idea to make it illegal for someone to help drowning people. That guy needs to be shamed into quitting

Absolutely nothing needs to change. Civilian volunteers rescued exponentially more than the national guard, Coast Guard, and first responders did combined.
Seems like the government agencies need to unfrick themselves because they were the slowest to react.
