They have built in days especially to allot for hurricane season. They may trim some time off certain other holidays or go over a week but schedule shouldn't be too bad. The issue will come if school is closed again for a hurricane.
I wonder if they will try to work in a few Saturdays.

The kids are going to be in school until July
In LC after Hurricane Rita schools were out 6 weeks. They made it up by going an extra 45 minutes a day, or something like that.

Yep, it was all him. Not due to mold or buses.

Drake sent out a memo late Monday explaining the decision. Mold and transportation issues are the main reasons, he said.
"Our transportation department is out of order because of flooding. Our bus fleet is depleted and our drivers are dispersed," Drake wrote. "We also got word today that four additional schools have mold that were not flooded. We have 11 facilities that were impacted by water."

I thought they started way early in case something like this happens?
They start way early to have more days of instruction in by the time they take standardized testing, but won't work out this year

What % of EBR was affected? I can understand this for Livingston.
3 weeks out of school seems excessive considering the private schools went back last week.

I have no words for the type of idiot this man is. I never had respect for him, but after he said "you reap what you sow" on camera directed at law enforcement concerning the death of Alton Sterling, there was no turning back.

Whoa, that's not good. Wonder if it had anything to do with the rain or if this shite has been there for some time.
