I understand the logic behind not naming a DC till after....

the bowl game because of coaching limits. What I don't understand is why we are not hearing about interviews, interest...ANYTHING. Why is it so quiet?

Because Les can reach out and pull someone when he needs him. He's got Tenuta in his pocket, don't worry about it.

Maybe Les has taken it underground, plus, he is recruiting hard.

Not worried. Just wondering why everyone seems to be so tight lipped about the DC. Normally we are hearing names who have "supposedly" been interviewed, talked to or something. All we've heard is Tenuta and that was because Miles was supposedly taking him to Michigan. It just really seems strange that we are not hearing any names for such an important position. Normally stuff starts leaking out by now.

He must be taking it WAY underground. The boards are normally lit up with names when we are looking for coaches. OC names floated around for a while last year and Crowton was one of the names mentioned early. This year there is NOTHING. The pay site admins are not hearing anything and there just are not any rumors. Les is apparently doing a far better job of covering this up than he did the Michigan thing.

Secrets are not usually kept that well. If Tenuta were "in his pocket" then we would have heard rumors by now. Tenuta is the interim coach for a team that has hired its new coach. It's obvious we need a DC so there is really no reason to hide this.

The only time Tenuta's name came up was when he was supposedly on his way to Michigan with Miles. Nothing else has been said since then and the assumption he will come to LSU are being based on that. The admins of pay sites (like Mike S.) have said the he's "likely" a candidate but admit they have heard NOTHING. I just find it odd!

Apparently he also has time to help Michigan find a new coach. Seems like he would be working on finding his own DC. If he is working on that then you know we would be hearing something.
