Weather.com has Green Bay in the high 70's for the next 10 days (thru 8/31). Unless something seriously changes, it's looking like "cold weather" will not be a factor over labor day weekend.

Our advantage benefits our defense while theirs benefits their offense.
I'll take defense over offense especially early in the season.
Clear advantage LSU

1)Aranda's familiarity with Wisky players and offense or
2)Wisky staff and offensive players being very familiar with Aranda's system?
Such an interesting dynamic to this matchup and the fact it was scheduled years before Aranda ever thought of coming to LSU makes matchup even more unique.
Aranda has stated he changes his system to fit the players. I am not sure he'll throw out the same exact stuff he had at Wisconsin with less physically gifted guys and less depth. I bet there are some new looks he's never implemented before as he's never had this much talent/speed/size/depth.
However their offensive scheme will be much of the same I'm sure. Its not like its complicated though. Wisconsin frickin' runs the ball and then runs the ball some more and throws to the TEs.
They are similar to LSU in that their offense is no mystery. They dare you to lineup and stop them from running it down your throat.

but they are incorrect. they almost beat us in Houston 2 years ago
That's a lifetime in college football. The results of the first meeting will have no effect on this game.

There was a Wisky fan who came on here and said Badgers have the advantage because itll be 50 degrees and our talent levels are even lol
I remember that post. Had no makings of an actual Wisconsin fan...

This LSU would beat the LSU team from 2 years ago by 4 touchdowns.

they will be fired up on familiar turf
How many games has Wisconsin played in Green Bay?

sizable fan advantage
I don't think it will be a sizeable advantage.

OCs don't spend time analyzing their own team's defense. Same for DCs.
They worry about their own players and their opponents. Aranda never had to game plan for playing Wisconsin's offense.
So I think it's no material advantage to either team that Aranda came from Wisconsin.

There will be.

quote:I don't think this favors Wisconsin at all. I would think the Tigers would be more conditioned having endured a summer in this insufferable South Louisiana heat. A less humid, cool environment would only intensify that advantage. Unless, it were at elevation which in this case, will not be a problem.
It'll be 50 degrees. Advantage: Wisky

This wont matter so don't worry about it. Temp is not an issue on Labor Day weekend. Usually. Very Rarely is it cold like that. But it would not be an advantage to LSU it would be like when WI played Miami in 2009 Champ Sports Bowl.
Detailed Avg GB Weather

Very well expressed. It will be close but Aranda will now have more skill and speed to execute his defense. As you mentioned, the LSU secondary will allow him to do some things on a regular basis that he was not able to do before.

Knowing or not knowing, prepared or not prepared is not the issue.
Aranda is a tremendous talent as a defensive coach. He's for defense what Mike Leach is for offense. A truly outside the box thinker. So, no matter what, Aranda is a big advantage for LSU.
