Tell the dog to shut up. Give him the cats as a peace offering

Kind of like something else in BR.

To my dog, any cat = big squirrel. I let him get at my sister's cat (the sister nobody likes), and he grabbed that fricker by the tail and shook the shite out of him. I was laughing so hard, I almost couldn't tell him to stop. Good times

I was just taking up for the cats because we have about 5 people on the OT that do
In my experience, a lot of it has to do with territory. The 'intruder', whether it be the cat or the dog, usually finds a corner and just chills. For the most part, a cat will go hide under a bed because it has no idea where it is. I had 2 cats at my place this week from the flood and they did exactly that. If our(LL's) dog tried to mess with them, they sure as shite would hold their ground though. My friends who bring their dogs over quickly realize who runs the house and thats my girl cat. She doesnt take shite from anyone and would annihilate probably 99% of the dogs on earth.
But yea, dogs and I would say humans adapt to a house with cats.

Yes, he will acclimate eventually, but in the meantime it wouldn't hurt to spend extra time outside with him or let him inside more often. You're doing a good deed, so I definitely don't want to sound like I'm knocking you. When you're giving him attention, I'm thinking he won't be barking though.

That's not exclusive to BR.
And if dogs are pussies and certain someones are afraid of dogs, what does that make those someones?

Hang out with him outside especially when it's loud. It'll help him learn that the noises aren't a problem.

Pics of the sister to decide if I would like to get after her cat too.

what kind of dog do you have?

I know what you mean. I have a bull mastiff that we got as a puppy and my wife has this stupid arse Maine coon cat that was here already and for a while the cat tried to boss him around.
Now when the cat sits in his spot the dog just goes over and picks the cat up in his mouth and gives him to the wife. Mastiffs are really serious about their spot in the house.
This dog looks like a hound of hell and war and that cat still tries to mess his day up

He would get use to it if it wasn't for the cats. I know you aren't gonna put them out but grab a spray bottle and hose them when they're being assholes to the dog.

OR...when there is a loud noise, bolt out the door into the yard and go screaming off the top of your lungs: 'WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT! AGGGGGHHHHHH!!!" while running around like a crazy man.

She's ugly as all get out. Nobody wants to associate with her anyway because she is legitimately crazy

I feel ya, but a mastiff, doberman, pitbull, german aint got sh*t on my neighbors inside cat Bonnie. That cat is a demon from the lowest level of hell. NO ONE, not even a human being gets near that cat. So many times I just wanted to toss it in their garbage disposal when I am over for dinner and its on that countertop. Id be like: "DIE YOU F***ING EVIL PUSSY!"

I dumped a huge bowl of water on this stray cat that was coming up in my deck around midnight every night and caterwauling.
He bolted like he had been shot out of a cannon and hasn't been back.
