I'm sure it'll be an awesome movie, but I must admit I'm getting burnt out on WW2. Would love to see more movies covering other wars and events.
I'm still waiting for a great American Revolution movie.
The Patriot is sort of Bland and 1776, while good, is not what I'm looking for.

Wouldn't mind seeing a movie about the Battle of New Orleans. It could have a cool side story about Jean Lafitte.

I sort of agree.
Im burnt on WWII films involving the US.
Would like to see some new films made on the war in North Africa, the siege of Budapest, and a film based on Cornelius Ryan's book on the battle of Berlin.

I would love to see some good movies of some of the European wars from the mid 1500s- the Napoleonic Wars. i don't think any war has truly grasped what it was like to be there.

I agree with this, WWII gets a lot of coverage because we have video from it and the US came out the big winner.
Recently I came across Dan Carlin's Hardcore History blog and he's got a 5 part series on WWI that's terrific. Something like 15 hours. Highly recommended for anyone interested at all in WW1:
